Wellness Coaching Disclaimer

Root n Rise provides non-clinical wellness coaching, education, reflection, goal support, behavior-change support, and accountability. Coaching is a collaborative process intended to help clients identify their own goals, strengths, resources, and next steps.

Not healthcare or psychotherapy

Wellness coaching is not medicine, nursing, psychotherapy, counseling, dietetics, physical therapy, crisis intervention, diagnosis, or treatment. Root n Rise does not prescribe medication, provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, diagnose conditions, interpret diagnostic tests, or replace care from licensed professionals.

Client responsibility

Clients remain responsible for their decisions, actions, health care, safety, and results. Consult an appropriately licensed professional regarding symptoms, diagnoses, treatment, medication, nutrition therapy, exercise restrictions, pregnancy, mental-health concerns, or any issue outside the scope of coaching.

Credentials

Megha Gupta is a graduate of the Academic Integrative Medicine Health & Wellness Coaching Program offered by the UCI Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute. She does not represent herself as a physician, psychologist, psychotherapist, registered dietitian, or other licensed healthcare professional unless a separate, current license is expressly identified.

Independent private practice

Root n Rise is Megha Gupta's independently operated private coaching practice. Services are provided outside and separately from her public employment. Root n Rise is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, UC Irvine, the UCI Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, or any current or former employer. Any views expressed through Root n Rise are those of the private practice and not those of an employer or government agency.

Confidentiality and privacy

Root n Rise treats coaching communications as confidential within the limits described in the coaching agreement and applicable law. Confidentiality may be limited when disclosure is authorized, required by law, needed to prevent serious harm, necessary to protect legal rights, or otherwise addressed in the written coaching agreement. Do not use the public website form or ordinary email for sensitive medical information.

Emergencies

Root n Rise is not an emergency, crisis, or on-call service. For an urgent or life-threatening concern, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource immediately.

Results vary and depend on individual circumstances and participation. Testimonials, examples, and educational content do not guarantee any particular outcome.
